Maryruth Culver started her musical career as an accompanist, and eventually a cantor, for St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Valley Center,
at the young age of 11. This start led her to perform extensively throughout San Diego and the San Diego County, and received recognition from
the San Diego Union Tribune and KUSI News as one of San Diego’s upcoming young artists. In 2005 Maryruth was awarded full scholarship to study
music at the world-renowned harp program at the University of Arizona. She studied Harp under Dr. Carrol McLaughlin, and graduated Magna Cum
Laude in 2009 with Bachelors Degree in Harp Performance. While in Tucson studying harp, Maryruth studied classical voice (under Dr. Tony Antista,

harp ensemble known as “HarpFusion”, (the world’s largest touring ensemble). She toured extensively with the group and was often featured as a
solo harpist, vocalist, composer and arranger. Some of her international tours with “HarpFusion” include the countries of Mexico, Belgium,
Holland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Switzerland and Brazil. Maryruth is also an accomplished orchestral performer and has been featured with the
University of Arizona Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras among other ensembles. Maryruth has had the opportunity to teach music to various
age groups both in private, and group settings. She was instructor to the intermediate group of jazz harp students at the 2007 Harpe Diem Music
