B&H Music is a complete repair facility. We service guitars and basses, brass (trumpets, trombones, tuba, French horn, etc), woodwinds flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, etc), violins, violas, cellos, double bass. We also do bow re-hair.
These prices are only estimates. Every guitar is different. More accurate estimates can be given once we see the instrument. Guitar restrings are typically same day to one day service depending on how busy we are.
We realize there are a lot of old neglected guitars out there that aren’t worth the cost of the repair estimates. We will work with you on prices if you just want to make that old axe work again. Let us look at it and we will do our best to get you playing again for cheap. We replace single strings and tune guitars for free!!!!
We are currently using Jim Walker to repair our brass. He is a world renowned metallurgist who has been repairing band instruments for over thirty years. Most typical band instrument repairs cost between $35 and $70. Turnaround time is about a week.
We fully service all woodwind instruments. No repair is too small or too large. There are too many things that can go wrong to make a price list for woodwind instruments, but most of the everyday common repairs cost between $25 and $45. Complete re-pads and rebuilds start at $145 for flute and clarinet then go up from there for all others. We have to see it to give you a good estimate.
We repair all orchestra stringed instruments. Restrings are $15 plus the cost of the strings. Bow re-hair is $40. Please note that this usually entails other repairs such as the frog and handle replacement.
